The Claret is an extremely approachable wine, displaying great balance between sweet French oak and rich fruit. A traditional small addition of Syrah softens the tannins on the entry, allowing the graceful, supple tannins of the Cabernet to build on the palate. The nose is inviting, with ripe red fruit, raspberry and mocha. Judicious use of oak underlies the fruit, giving this wine beautiful balance with a smooth finish where blackberries develop along with sweet tobacco and cocoa. An amazing Napa Valley Cabernet for those who do not have the patience to cellar, enjoy it immediately.
