Product description

Deep ruby color. Intense nose with spicy notes (especially black pepper) and red berries. This very balanced wine offers very round tannins and fresh berries aromas, with some floral and spicy flavors.

Very easy to match with simple dishes such as pizzas, kebabs, charcuterie, vegetable pies or salads to more ambitious cuisine like terrines, poultry (guineafowl, turkey), and roasted or grilled meats.

Blend: 60% Grenache, 40% Syrah

Tasting Notes

91 Jeb Dunnuck
A wine that has almost always ranked high on my top value list over the past decade or more, the 2019 Ventoux Terrasses offers a slightly deeper, richer style than the Edition 1912M, with plenty of black cherry and redcurrant fruits intermixed with more peppery garrigue, earth, and a touch of meatiness. More medium-bodied, lively, and beautifully textured, with silky tannins, it’s another no-brainer red that would be one hell of a house red. You can enjoy bottles today or safely cellar them for upwards of a decade. I recently finished a case of the 2005 that was still going strong, so this wine has plenty of longevity.

91 Wine Enthusiast
Notes of smoked tea, lilac and black cherry perfume this blend of Grenache and Syrah sourced from gravelly limestone soils. Unoaked in style, it highlights ripe but pristine black-cherry and plum flavors accented by a firm, stony minerality. Enjoy this exceptionally well-priced yet luminously fruity, elegant wine through 2029.

90 Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2019 Ventoux Terrasses remains one of the top values in the Southern Rhône. A 60-40 blend of Grenache and Syrah aged exclusively in tank, it offers aromas of black cherries and raspberries, underscored by hints of black olives. Medium to full-bodied, it's round and silky-firm in feel, with a long, salty, mouthwatering finish.

90Wine Spectator
Ripe, but with a breezy edge as damson plum and bitter cherry notes glide through, laced with underlying mineral and floral details. Ends with a light kiss of toast on the finish. Grenache and Syrah. Drink now through 2023.
