Characterised by intense, appealing, fresh fruit aromas (strawberry) of great finesse. Lovely rounded character from the outset. The wine is complex and concentrated, while superbly generous and underpinned by silky tannins. The delicious fresh fruit remains a constant throughout the tasting, until the long, flavour-filled finish. This harmonious wine is particularly appealing.
It goes perfectly with red meats (filet mignon of beef, roasted lamb, forest veal paupiettes), poultry with white and brown flesh (free-range chickens, duck breast with raspberry vinegar ...).
Blend: 88% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Petit Verdot

This has a polished, spiced nose of black cherry, clove, chocolate and black olive. Oyster shell, too. It’s medium-to full-bodied with firm, fine-grained tannins. Balanced. Try from 2023.
Always a sure name, and a way to bell-weather the vintage, this is great in 2018. For a value Bordeaux it's hard to go wrong with this: it starts extremely well with nice juice and plump fruit, but is just a little bit strained through the finish. Half is aged in barrel and half in tank. 47hl/ha yield. Drinking Window: 2022 - 2034.

Lots of red plums, currants, dried spices, new leather, and tobacco notes emerge from the 2018 Château Pey La Tour Réserve Du Château, a medium-bodied, charming, elegant 2018 that does a lot right. With solid depth of fruit and an up-front, already delicious style, it should keep nicely for 8-10 years.
The 2018 is elegant, silky and beautifully nuanced. Sweet floral and cedar notes lift a core of sweet red berry fruit. This elegant, finely-knit Bordeaux Supérieur has much to offer.
