Peter Jakob Kühn Hallgartener Hendelberg Riesling Trocken 2022

The Kuhn family has been growing grapes in Germany’s Rheingau region for 230 years. Since 2004 Peter Bernhard and his wife Viktoria have been devoted to farming the estate's vineyards biodynamically and organically. They make some of the region's most focused and elegant expressions of Riesling. The ‘Hallgartener Hendelberg’ comes from a vineyard of phyllite slate that sits at 300 meters above sea level. The wine is Trocken, or dry, and aged for a year in large oak barrels, which gives it a bit of extra richness to balance the wine’s bright golden apple fruit notes and angular acidity.
