This white wine presents brilliant hues of pale yellow and green. Fresh aromas of lemon, lemon custard, basil, and anise are complemented by a vanillin thread, from the element of subtle new French oak. Lemon and lime citrus flavors follow, with the essence of pear. The toasted oak qualities from the barrel maturation have encouraged a full rich mouthfeel, along with the subtle creaminess of the sur-lie maturation. This sauvignon blanc is crisp with rich flavor.

Expressive nose with passion fruit, golden berries and fine herbs. Crisp and dry on the medium-bodied palate, which finishes with some bitter grapefruit and yuzu.

This Bordeaux Blanc look-alike is going to shine on the dinner table and, I suspect, have 4-5 years of overall longevity, although there’s no need to delay gratification.
