Tablas Creek Patelin de Tablas Blanc (2017)
|Availability:||Out of stock|
The 2017 Patelin de Tablas Blanc is intensely Rhone-like on the nose, with notes of honeysuckle, spiced pear, nectarine, spearmint, and sweet spice. In the mouth, it's lush but vibrant with peach pit, honeycrisp apple, and orange zest flavors, and a saline mid-palate. Bright acidity softens into creamy richness on the finish, leaving lingering flavors of sweet spice.
Pairs well with seafood cooked with garlic and white wine, green salads with avocado and citrus dressing, lemon chicken, scallops and light fleshed fish with tropical salsa.
Blend: 44% Grenache Blanc, 29% Viognier, 12% Marsanne, 12% Roussanne, and 3% Clairette Blanche.
Pale gold. Mineral-accented orange, pear and white flowers on the perfumed nose, along with a gingery nuance that adds spicy lift. Taut citrus and orchard fruit flavors unfurl slowly and show hints of bitter quinine and anise that build slowly with air. Shows very good depth as well as energy on the finish, which echoes the mineral and citrus fruit notes.
