This Vin Santo is a very extraordinary and noble wine from the Chianti Classico region. It is made exclusively from the Malvasia and Trebbiano grape varieties, which are harvested very late and in a fully ripe state. After that, the grapes dry for 2-3 months, raisining. In the process, the aromas and sugar content in the berries intensify. After fermentation, Vin Santo is allowed to mature in barrels for about 5 years. Its color changes to a dark amber or gold. On the palate, Vin Santo del Chianti Classico DOC is very nuanced and complex, with aromas of apricots, honey and vanilla.
