Deep and dark red. On the nose intensely aromatic, with black fruits and spices. The palate is full, round and sexy. Round and smooth tannins present through the full bodied, ample wine. Overall a complete wine, with a long finish, with elegance and finesse accompanying the abundance of fruit and well-balanced tannins.
Blend: 50% Syrah, 40% Grenache, 10% Mourvèdre
92 Jeb Dunnuck The 2019 Côtes Du Rhône will be a no-brainer purchase. This Syrah-heavy red has lots of blackberry, bouquet garni, and peppery notes in a ripe, full-bodied, textured style. It’s well worth buying and drinking over the coming 5-7 years.Range: 90-92
90 Decanter A benchmark entry-level Côtes du Rhône from a classic Rhône Valley producer. A medium aromatic intensity of blackberries, spice, and black pepper. The palate is textured and serves the same dark fruit plus spice notes. The wine (like most Côtes du Rhônes) shines with food.
90 Natalie MacLean Classic Rhone blend of Syrah, Grenache, and Mourvedre. Aromas of plum, fig, and cherry with a note of tobacco and some peppery spice. Medium-full bodied, with medium acidity and some slightly drying tannins. Fruit notes are ripe and slightly raisin-y and there is a spicy hint on the finish. Enjoy with slow roasted meats.
