Pale gold color with green hints. Subtle floral notes of jasmine and acacia. Aromas of citrus and white fruits, fresh apple – perfectly balanced finish with nuances of yellow grapefruit. Expresses Chardonnay in its fullness.
95 Decanter Really lush in style, with a very potent and toasty nose that unfolds leesy complexity, accompanied by aromas of white flowers and white apple. The palate is doughy, with expansive autolytic notes, persistent and concentrated. Great depth and balance, with a long, dry, spicy finish.
93 James Suckling Brimming with white flowers and fresh ripe pear. So bright and energetic with a wonderful creaminess that beautifully balances the chalkiness and delicate touch of savory. Just a hint of lemon peel bitterness that neatly accentuates the freshness at the long dry finish. Based on the 2018 vintage, much of it from the Montagne de Reims with 20% of reserve wines. The first vintage of this wine that's also bottled in magnum. Drink or hold.
91 Wilfred Wong of Wine.com COMMENTARY: The Champagne Pommery Blanc de Blancs is active, fresh, and pleasingly persistent. TASTING NOTES: This wine exhibits aromas and flavors of ripe apple and a light yeasty note. Enjoy it with pan-seared sea scallops. (Tasted: June 27, 2022, San Francisco, CA)
