Benanti’s modern story builds on a legacy that began in the late 1800s, when Giuseppe Benanti first produced wine on the volcanic slopes of Mount Etna. A century later, his grandson revived that heritage with a deep, five‑year study of Etna’s soils, native grape clones, and contemporary winemaking techniques, aiming to preserve ancient aromas through modern precision. The result is a collection of wines with strong personality, rooted in respect for terroir, tradition, and the historic palmenti. Guided today by Giuseppe’s sons, Antonio and Salvino, the estate has expanded its vision from Etna to Pantelleria and Pachino, earning growing international demand and consistent acclaim for its high‑quality, terroir‑driven expressions.
The Etna Bianco is a pale yellow color, with bright greenish tints. The nose is intense and delicate with hints of apple. The palate is dry and minerally with pleasant acidity and salinity, persistent and harmonious. It pairs well with fish and seafood. Very suitable for by-the-glass consumption.
