Brilliant gold. Complex nose combining fresh fruits (apple, pear), linden and notes of acacia honey and green tea. Wonderful exuberance on the palate that is firm, mineral, focused and ends on a dried almond note. An elegant wine.
93 Wilfred Wong of Wine.com COMMENTARY: Over the decades, the wine cognoscenti have recognized Ca' del Bosco as one of the world's top sparkling wine producers. The winery's Cuvée Prestige is an outstanding effort. TASTING NOTES: This wine is complex, attractive, and fresh. Enjoy its creamy, ripe fruit aroma with grilled chicken thighs over a bed of al dente noodles. (Tasted: November 13, 2019, San Francisco, CA)
92 James Suckling Some bread dough and pie crust to the lightly cooked apples and hints of pear skins. It’s full-bodied with a round texture and a flavorful finish. Consistently delicious. Drink now.
91 Robert Parker's Wine Advocate Packaged in a transparent bottle and an easily recognized yellow-gold label, the NV Franciacorta Cuvée Prestige Brut is a blend of 75% Chardonnay, 10% Pinot Bianco and 15% Pinot Nero. This is among Ca' del Bosco's most affordable and accessible sparkling wines. It offers steady consistency year after year. I've always loved the bouquet of this wine. It shows a slightly spicy side that reminds me of Christmas oranges nailed with cloves. In the mouth, the wine is lean and crisp with fine and persistent perlage.
90 Wine Enthusiast Cuvée Prestige has a fragrance of toasted bread crust, apple and pear. The creamy palate has a great depth of flavors: Golden Delicious apple, lemon drop, honey and pastry. The wine finishes on an almond note.
90 Wine Spectator Though rich and creamy, this wine is focused by finely cut acidity, resulting in a lithe version overall. The smoky mineral undertow mixes with flavors of poached apple, toasted brioche, lemon curd and vanilla, followed by a lasting finish.
91 Vinous The MV Franciacorta Cuvée Prestige, an Extra Brut style of Franciacorta, is remarkably pretty with floral perfumes and white smoke blossoming into a pure display of ripe pear and hints of lemon confit. It’s round and pliant, balanced by a brilliant mix of bright acids and minerals that gives way to yellow apples. The finish is wonderfully dry and clean, tapering off to hints of savory spice. It’s a great introduction to the Ca' del Bosco portfolio. This is a blend of 75% Chardonnay, 15% Pinot Nero and 10% Pinot Bianco.
