The 2017 Clos Haut-Peyraguey showed brilliantly and is another stunning Sauternes from this great vintage. White peach, honeycomb, flowers, and plenty of botrytis notes all emerge from the glass, and it’s nicely textured and full-bodied, with a beautiful balance between its fruit and acidity. It’s already delicious yet should evolve for two decades.

A Sauternes with lovely harmony and finesse with dried fruit, mushrooms and peaches. Some pears, too. This is very subtle. Medium-bodied with beautiful sweetness (not too much) and creamy texture. Shows length and finesse. Drinkable now, yet it will last a very long time.

Very lush and forward, with creamed pear, warm peach melba and hazelnut notes set against a backdrop of warm piecrust. Bold and broad through the finish. Sémillon and Sauvignon Blanc. Drink now through 2032.
