Established in 1990 by the Pairault family, the chateau is surrounded by classed growth properties. Tasting Teynac means getting as close as possible to the Saint Julien appellation.
This Saint Julien is pure, intense, distinctly elegant, and complex with a wonderful, silky texture, and great balance. Blackberry, plum, oak, vanilla, cassis, blackcurrant, cloves, and nutmeg flavors glide over the tongue. Drink with the classic roast beef, lamb with garlic & rosemary, or Portobello mushroom dishes.
Blend: 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Merlot, 2% Petit Verdot
93 Wine Enthusiast The elegance of Saint-Julien is apparent in this non-classified wine from a 27-acre, Cabernet Sauvignon-dominant vineyard. It has ripe black fruits but also restrained tannins and structure. Drink from 2026.
92 Decanter Firm tannic hold, a little sombre right now but with plenty of cassis and blueberry fruits and it opens in the glass to show St Julien promise. Juicy finish also, and traces of smoked liquorice. Enjoyable wine from the Pairault family. Drinking Window: 2025 - 2040
91 James Suckling Shows very pretty, ripe and clean fruit with blackcurrant and plum character. Medium body and round, fine-grained tannins. 91/92 pts.
