Domaine du Gros ’Noré is a standout in the Kermit Lynch portfolio, where Alain Pascal crafts bold reds and finely etched rosés. His Bandol Rosé—54% Mourvèdre, 25% Cinsault, 19% Grenache, and 2% Clairette—captures the depth of the region. Pale salmon in color yet strikingly expressive, it delivers layered notes of pamplemousse, coastal strawberries, wet stone, and honeydew.
91 Vinous Of all the Bandol “heavy-hitters” tasted in this report, the 2024 Rosé from Domaine du Gros’ Noré is the most overt and dialed up. Broad-shouldered and layered with buckets of ripe nectarine, toasted almond, white cherry and an undercurrent of rosemary and thyme, the 2024 is very much an in-your-face Rosé. That said, it’s extremely well done within the style, though the alcohol pokes through a bit on the finish, knocking the balance off by a hair.
91 Wine Spectator Creamy notes of orange cream and melon join a hint of mango in this streamlined style. Rich yet sewn up, with a tug of tannins for structure. Complex, full and savory, showing plenty of mineral dynamism. This should age well for years. Mourvèdre, Cinsault, Grenache and Clairette.
