Jean-Pierre Boisson, former long-serving mayor of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, runs Domaine Père Caboche with his children Emily & Nicolas. Members of the Boisson family have been both winemakers and blacksmiths for generations. The family nickname of Caboche derives from the old Provencal word for ‘horseshoe nails’.
The 2024 is bright, straw colored with green highlights. The nose is intense with aromas of flowers (elder flower, broom, hawthorn), fruity notes such as white peach or pear, apricot halves and a hint of citrus fragrances (pomelo). The mouth is fleshy, ample and mouthwatering. It is full and has also a great minerality with all aromas of the nose, more freshness again and also a hint of exotic fruits. Long lasting finish. This is an elegant and full-flavoured wine.

Reviews
92 Jeb Dunnuck Based on 40% Clairette, 30% Bourboulenc, and 15% each Grenache Blanc and Roussanne, vinified and aged in stainless steel tanks, the 2024 Châteauneuf Du Pape Blanc is ultra-classic in style. Ripe citrus, minty herbs and garrigue, and crushed stone all emerge from this focused white. It's medium-bodied, fresh, and elegant, with the class to drink well for a solid decade or more. There are 800 cases produced. Drink 2025-2037.
