La Grande Berge from Domaine Laurent Mouton comes from Pinot Noir vines that thrive at 260 meters above sea level on clay-limestone soils. Aged between forty and seventy years, they are ideally oriented toward the east. In the winery, the grapes from the 2022 vintage were destemmed, and this red wine was aged for twelve months, one-third in new barrels and the remaining two-thirds in barrels used once or twice.
In the glass, La Grande Berge is surprisingly ready to drink for its age. This Givry Premier Cru reveals itself well now, offering notes of red and black fruits and gentle spices. Above all, it has good length, allowing for excellent food pairings. On the palate, this Premier Cru is rich and expressive.
