Domaine Matrot mixes together 12 plots in order to make a classic representative Meursault wine. A purified wine with character, often described as a sweet and dry wine. It has hints of yellow fruit with a citrus finish.
94 Wine & Spirits Adèle and Elsa Matrot, the sisters in charge of their family domaine, blend fruit from 12 parcels in Meursault for this wine. As it aged in barrel, it developed into a flinty and tight Meursault, as if the sisters used reduction in all the right ways, precisely in balance, bringing complexity to the scents of lees, summer hay and grasses. The finish is open and beautiful, round and subtly detailed with hints oak and flowers.
