This 2024 Pinot Blanc has aromas of peaches, melon, honeysuckle and slate notes. On the palate peaches and honeysuckle combine with thyme, creamy lactic qualities and rich citrus notes. Crisp and refreshing!
93 Wine Review Online Although this is a bit lighter in body than some of Oregon’s finest Pinot Blancs, that’s a technical and essentially irrelevant fact because the wine is so expressive in aroma and flavor that it punches above its weight—if you’ll pardon the cliché drawn from boxing. Aromas and flavors include varietally typical notes recalling ripe autumn pears, Golden apples, and honeydew melon, but there’s also a tropical fruit note that’s very appealing and entirely in harmony with the wine’s other sensory signals. Acidity is nicely balanced with the wine’s weight and primary fruit sweetness, yet quite gentle by comparison to, for example, the level found in almost all Sauvignon Blancs. A delightful stand-alone sipper, this will also work well with lighter seafood dishes such as trout or striped bass. The sheer beauty of this wine’s ultra-pure fruit notes is completely convincing, without the barest hint of cellar tricks or oak. Despite knowing that this is less expensive than most wines in its category and probably made in somewhat greater quantity, I tasted it with an open mind and was very pleased with the results. Try it if you can find it.
89 Wine Enthusiast There's a sweet-tart aroma combination here that is similar to a mix of orange creamsicle and peach skins. Things are tangier on the palate, with melon sorbet, Meyer lemon, tarragon and mineral water flavors ruling the roost. This is a very nice white wine where a bit more acidity would have added even more enjoyment.
