Flowers pioneered Pinot Noir and Chardonnay on the extreme Sonoma Coast more than 25 years ago, guided by Joan and Walt Flowers’ vision to craft wines that reflect the wild beauty of their remote coastal ridges. That spirit continues today through responsible farming, hand harvesting, native fermentations, and a minimal‑intervention approach that preserves purity and place.
Perched 1,150–1,875 feet above the Pacific, the Camp Meeting Ridge and Sea View Ridge estate vineyards sit within the Fort Ross–Seaview AVA—an elevated, windswept corner of the Sonoma Coast where only a small fraction of land is plantable. Constant ocean influence brings cooling fog and sea breezes, while high‑elevation sunshine drives a long, slow growing season. The result is an ideal environment for elegant, finely etched Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
The 2024 Chardonnay is energetic and bright balancing mouthwatering acidity, fresh citrus, and an elegant, finely-woven texture with exceptional purity and precision. Meyer lemon and just-ripe mandarin orange mingle with pithy herbaceous notes and a fine mist of green citrus oil. On the palate, savory preserved lemon and a hint of spice component with the backbone of persistent acidity. Briny ocean spray minerality lifts the tightly-knot texture, which expands across the mouth for a vibrant finish.
