Legras & Haas Champagne Rosé Brut | NV

Based on the 2020 vintage, the NV Champagne Brut Rose is a blended style with 47% Chardonnay, 20% Meunier, and the rest Pinot Noir, 9% of which is red wine coming from Les Riceys. From 2020 onward the house began blocking malolactic fermentation on the Meunier to retain more complexity. This rose pours a bright pink hue and opens to delicate reductive and smoky aromas lifting from the glass, including loads of orange peel citrus, framboise, and fresh flowers. Medium-bodied and energetic, it has an excellent pithy structure and notes of wet stone as well as snappy lift through the finish. A very nice, food-friendly rosé, it will continue to improve over the coming 10-12 years.

Delivers a firm spine of acidity that's well-integrated with the plush texture and finely woven flavors of macerated cherry, licorice, mandarin orange peel and mineral. Shows good intensity in a harmonious frame, with delicate spice and herb notes on the chalky finish. Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier.

This wine gains its light copper-pink color from red pinot noir grown in Les Riceys. The red fruit has a generous, honeyed sweetness, captured in a pretty rosé with an elegant, tea-like smokiness that lasts.
