The vines of this dry red wine made from 100% Bonarda vine grow 970 m above sea level near Luján de Cuyo on calcareous sand mixed with clay. Due to the very low rainfall of approx. 200 mm per year, the vines are supplied with drip irrigation in an environmentally friendly way. The harvest is done by hand with baskets. Fermentation takes place at 26 °C in concrete tanks; 70% of the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation to break down acids at 16°C. Half of the wine is aged for 6 months in French barriques and another 8 months in the bottle. The wine has an intense ruby red color with violet reflections. The aroma is fresh and fruity with notes of raspberries and cherries, yet soft and earthy. The wine has a medium-bodied body with freshness and delicately tart notes as well as a nice length.
