Meredith Estate is the flagship vineyard and a testament to the winery's continuing quest to capture the intense flavors and richness of estate grown grapes in every bottle. In this vintage, a nose filled with sweet aromatics of violets, roses, dark plum and Bing cherry precedes a dense, juicy and mouthwatering entry. Broad and rich tannins then envelop black cherry, boysenberry, cedar and pipe tobacco. Earthy mushroom and leather notes combine with seductive notes of toast throughout the long and lingering finish.
96 Decanter The Meredith Estate is wholly enticing, with a richly aromatic dark berry and sweet spiced nose nuanced by espresso and toasted cedar wood that merely hints at the delicious wine to come. Full-bodied and exceedingly powerful, sporting succulent dried Bing cherry, clove and tangerine peel framed by velvety chocolate-tinged tannins. It’s a beautifully voluminous Pinot Noir that is irresistibly fresh and lifted by zesty acidity while never shying from its unapologetic, deeply penetrating core of juicy, young, sweet fruit. A balanced finish brings the wine right into focus. 100% de-stemmed with whole-berry fermentation, a cold soak for six days, and ageing for nine months in 55% new French oak. Bottled August 2022. Drinking Window: 2024 - 2035
