Barbaresco is known as the queen of Italian wine. The vineyards of Reyna lie on steep hillsides in Barbaresco and Neive, facing southeast and southwest. The soil is bluish-grey calcareous clay marl with good presence of microelements, with more sand in the Barbaresco vineyard.
Garnet red with brilliant hues, this elegant wine expresses a fine bouquet with notes of small red fruits, rose petals and tea leaves. The tannins are fine and aristocratic, and the finish is long and full of flavor.
91 James Suckling A very floral style focused on roses with overt red cherries and balsamic. Slightly earthy. This has medium body and crisp acidity, showing good fruit definition supported by firm, dusty yet ripe tannins, still young at the moment. It will need time to soften. Try from 2026.
93 Wine Enthusiast This Barbaresco opens like twilight poetry - first soft whispers of red fruits and tea leaves, then building into something profound and moving. The palate unfolds with thrilling precision - each sip reveals new layers of spice, orange peel, and wild herbs, all carried on a current of perfectly ripened fruit.
