Colli Senesi is further south than Chianti Classico, and offers more fruit and a slightly richer body.
The Haurio 2021 has rich red fruit and spice supported by balanced acidity with integrated tannins on the finish. Pairs well with Tuscan chicken, rigatoni alla vodka, sausage and ricotta cannelloni.

92 Decanter From the hills of Colli Senesi, this Riserva shows aromas and flavours of dried sage and basil combined with cured meat and red plums. Tart acidity is balanced by ripe but firm tannins and good fruit concentration, with a long finish.
91 Wine Spectator An enticing perfume of pure cherry, kirsch, pomegranate and rose marks this rich, dense red. A hint of vanilla joins the party on the palate as this builds to the long, solidly tannic finish. Shows fine balance and length overall.
