Once upon a time there was a Michelin Star Restaurant in Spain that wanted to have a white wine and a red wine, which were produced ‘exclusively’ for their restaurant. After searching countless wineries, the owner of this important restaurant finally came across Bodegas Ontañón, who offered them this spectacular wine full of aromas and complexity. It won the exquisite palate of the owner of the Michelin Star restaurant.
Kaori is a beautiful Japanese word for aroma, fragrance or perfume. Without the presence of aromas it is impossible to conceive a wine and the complexity of its fragrance define it as a fingerprint.
Previously known as Akemi Rioja Blanco, it has the same delicious aromas and taste. On the nose, hints of sake, and some floral notes. Subtly oaked, it's dry, rich and textured, balanced by the naturally bright tropical expressions of the Viura grape. Think grapefruit, tropical fruit, vanilla, and pepper, and a lively, refreshing acidity.
