In the case of Mannequin, the Chardonnay is sourced across California with the goal of creating a wine that is both enjoyable and thought provoking, ideally, forcing one to have similar expressions to one of the mannequins on the label. Sourced from the Laguna Ranch, Loney Ranch, Rancho Real and the famous Bien Nacido Vineyard in the Santa Maria Valley.
The 2022 Mannequin pours a luminous gold core with flecks of emerald, which appear stunning in the glass. Aromatic notes of yellow peach, crème fraiche and graham cracker emanate without much coaxing. On the palate, bright hints of white peach, bosc pear, caramel apple, candied walnut and lemon pith envelop and coat effortlessly. A round finish and supple mouthfeel give way to a touch of toffee at close.
