Bodegas Portia is Grupo Faustino’s most recent winery project and is the 7th winery in the group. Located in the heart of Ribera del Duero, the Portia winery is a display of modern design, winemaking function and artistic detail. The brand offers very small production wines intense, energetic & balanced.
From vineyards located in Gumiel de Mercado, Roa, Sotillo de la Ribera, Villanueva de Gumie at an average altitude of 750m. Fermented in colonical tanks of 30,000L, which provides gentle extraction of aromas. Aged for 10 months in French oak, followed by 2 months in American oak.
Blackberry, blueberry and spice aromas. Generous dark fruit flavors with toast and toffee notes. Long fresh finish. Pair with flavorful tapas such as andouille sausage or try with a lamb or beef roast.
92 James Suckling Restrained and ambitiously structured, showing some roasted coffee beans, pine cones and sweet spices to the rich blackberries and cherries. Juicy and chewy on the palate with fine-grained tannins and a tight, lengthy finish. Drink from 2025.
