Triennia is a limited production signature wine and produced only when exceptional harvests are produced. This is the case of this 2019, classified as an Excellent vintage in Ribera del Duero by the Regulatory Council of the D.O. Elegance and complexity are its main hallmarks and will captivate any lover of the great wines of the Castilian region.
Clean, bright, intense cherry with ruby-garnet evolution. Intense and complex, very ripe black fruits, hints of liquorice, caramel and cocoa. Powerful, meaty and very balanced. Long finish marked by roasted notes.
It is easy to pair with any type of grilled meat and mushrooms. Some fish with a lot of flavor or fatty, such as tuna or cod. Medium-aged cheeses; Emmental and Gruyere. Pasta with tomato and/or cheese.
94 James Suckling Tarry nose with fresh blackberries, blueberries, blue plums, graphite, pine cones and sandalwood. A hint of coca-cola, too. A concentrated yet juicy expression of Ribera del Duero with a full body and chewy structure that melts into the fruit. Solid and bold. Coming from a single vineyard. Needs at least two years to come around. Drink after 2024.
97 Wine Enthusiast This black cherry-colored wine has aromas of fruits of the wood, espresso bean and olive tapenade. It is luscious on the palate, with layers of lavish tannins encasing flavors of blackberry preserves, vanilla bean, bittersweet chocolate and a tiny hint of earthiness that adds interest to the palate. The slightly grippy finish features a parting note of violet. Drink through 2039.
