Coming from the Wits' End Vineyard in the Chehalam Mountains, the 2019 Pinot Noir Private Stash No. 17 takes on a deep jeweled ruby color and is more reserved on opening before revealing spicy aromas of black licorice, pine needles, black cherry, and tea leaf. Structured and full-bodied, it has a weightless feel, with broad tannins and notes of toasted cedar and turned earth on the back palate. I would recommend cellaring this for another couple of years and drinking 2025-2035. 290 cases made.
