Seated Tasting
Friday, January 9th
7:00 PM to 8:30 PM
Wines by the Glass/Bottle until close
Join us on January 9th for Sonoma Sojourn, an engaging, guided tasting that takes you through the diverse landscapes, microclimates, and personalities that define Sonoma County wine.
Sonoma is not a single style — it is a mosaic. From fog-cooled coastal ridges to sun-drenched inland valleys, the region’s patchwork of soils, elevations, and climates creates extraordinary variation in character, structure, and aroma. During this tasting, we will explore what makes Sonoma so compelling: how its American Viticultural Areas (AVAs) shape the wines in your glass, and why this region remains one of the most dynamic winegrowing areas in the world.
Together, we will taste through a thoughtfully curated flight:
Hanna Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc 2023 – Russian River Valley
Crisp, aromatic, beautifully layered — reflecting cool fog influence and riverbed soils.
Kistler Vineyards Chardonnay 2023 – Sonoma Mountain
Tension, minerality, and citrus-driven elegance from higher-elevation slopes.
Lions Head “Panthera” Pinot Noir 2022 – Sonoma Coast
Dark fruit, spice, and coastal freshness shaped by ocean winds and rocky soils.
Ridge “Lytton Springs” Zinfandel 2022 – Dry Creek Valley
Historic vines, powerful structure, and savory intensity — quintessential Dry Creek.
Kenwood “Six Ridges” Cabernet Sauvignon 2021 – Alexander Valley
Plush, polished Cabernet with warm valley richness and graceful tannins.
Hamel Estate “Stratum” 2020 – Sonoma Valley Cabernet Blend
Layered, refined, and expressive, showing the depth and history of Sonoma Valley.
Throughout the evening, we will discuss:
How fog, elevation, and sunlight drive ripening and style
The importance of soil — sandstone, loam, clay, volcanic ash, and river deposits
Why Sonoma’s AVAs produce such distinctly different expressions from the same grapes
The balance between tradition, innovation, and sustainability across the region
Whether you are discovering Sonoma for the first time or deepening an existing love for the region, this tasting offers insight, conversation, and a deeper appreciation for the vineyards behind each bottle.
We look forward to sharing the journey with you.
