Join us for a special tasting with HALL Family Wines Brand Ambassador Patrick Madden as we explore the history, vineyards, and distinctive projects behind HALL, WALT, BACA, and Kathryn Hall.
Kathryn Hall’s connection to wine began in her family’s Mendocino vineyards. In 1995, Kathryn and Craig Hall purchased Sacrashe Vineyard in Rutherford, laying the foundation for what would become HALL Wines. They acquired the historic Bergfeld Winery in St. Helena in 2003, later restoring its 1885 structure while adding innovative, sustainable winemaking facilities. Over the years, the HALL family has expanded its portfolio to include WALT, focused on Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from California’s and Oregon’s most distinctive coastal vineyards, and BACA, a playful yet serious exploration of California Zinfandel and other limited-production wines.
This tasting offers a rare opportunity to experience the breadth of the HALL family portfolio—from Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc and powerful Cabernet Sauvignon to cool-climate Anderson Valley Pinot Noir and intense Rockpile Zinfandel. We’ll finish with two expressions of Kathryn Hall Cabernet Sauvignon, including a vineyard-designated selection that showcases the influence of a singular Napa Valley site.
