“Wait… do you smell apples? No—lemons! Or maybe… biscuits? Cherries? A flower?”
If you’ve ever had one of those “what is that smell?” moments while sipping wine, you’re not alone—and this event is for you.
Join us for a fun and interactive Sensory Training with Wines from Around the World, where we’ll explore how to identify the complex aromas in wine by training one of your most powerful tools: your nose.
During this guided tasting, each guest will receive a plate of aromatic reference points—spices, fruits, herbs, and more—to sniff as we taste through six distinctive wines. With each glass, you’ll learn how to better recognize common (and uncommon) wine aromas, and how to link what you smell to what you taste.
We’ll talk technique, get our noses deep in the glass, and sharpen our senses while enjoying a world tour of wines with unique and expressive profiles.
Whether you’re a wine novice or a seasoned taster, this is a great opportunity to deepen your appreciation for the aromas in your glass—and have a little fun along the way.
Come ready to swirl, sniff, sip, and say things like “Ah yes, definitely dried rose petal and leather.” (Or not. That’s up to your sniffer.)
