Since 1626, Trimbach has been a benchmark for fine Alsace wines, known for their dry, elegant, and balanced style. As one of the region’s largest Grand Cru vineyard owners, a third of their production comes from these prestigious sites. Winemaking remains a family affair, led by 12th-generation Pierre Trimbach, with support from the 13th generation. In 2023, Trimbach earned HVE-3 Organic certification, underscoring their commitment to sustainable excellence.
This is the very definition of the Alsace Riesling, well anchored in the dry and balanced Trimbach style. It has aromas of lemon, pear, tropical fruit with candied orange. It shines with its elegant liveliness, crunchiness and notes of white flowers and citrus fruits leading to a minerally finish.
92 James Suckling The wide spectrum of citrus, crisp pear and stone fruit aromas announces a remarkable achievement for an entry-level wine. Excellent depth on the racy, medium-bodied palate where the chalky minerality beautifully counterpoints the cool fruit. Crisp, long finish with so much vitality. From organically grown grapes. Drink or hold. Screw cap.
91 Robert Parker's Wine Advocate The 2022 Riesling is from countless vineyards between Scherwiller in the north and the Vallé Noble in the south and mainly based on marl limestone soils. The nose is clear, fresh and intensely aromatic and even displays some Muscat and herbal/stony aromas, which makes it more than just Riesling. On the palate, this is a dry but round and textured, quite rich, intense and powerful yet certainly elegant, savory and stimulating Riesling with food-friendly grip, salts and tension on the crisp finish. 12.8% alcohol.
92 Natalie MacLean From the Alsace wine region, Trimbach 2022 Riesling is dry, medium-bodied, fresh and crisp with citrus, crunchy yellow pear and stone fruit flavours racy on the palate and finishing long on a chalky-textured mineral note. Produced from organically grown grapes. Drink or hold through 2032.
