Paul Buisse is a fourth-generation winemaker from the Loire Valley in France. His family's wine business began in 1905 with his great-grandfather Eugène, who sold table wine by the barrel. Paul took over in the 1980s, transitioning from wine merchant to vineyard owner. In 1989, he founded the Paul Buisse estate in the Touraine appellation, known for its fruit-forward wines. Upon retiring in 2010, he sold the estate to Pierre Chainier, whose family continues the legacy with a focus on sustainable viticulture.
This wine is a bright but soft ruby colour. Highly aromatic (with a bouquet of raspberry and violet), this robust and generous wine is intense, with silky tannins that produce a lovely finish in the mouth.
91 Wine Enthusiast This wine draws you into it if you give it enough time in your glass. Deep ruby in color, the wine has a restrained nose of red cherry, black plum, red raspberry and pomegranate. The palate begins with roundness and resolves in concentration with well-integrated tannins that persist to the end of the taste.
