Krupp Brothers, Jan and Bart, began with the bold creation of Stagecoach Vineyard. The Stagecoach Vineyard put the Krupp Brothers on the map, supplying fruit to dozens of Napa wineries and building their reputation for bold, mountain-grown Cabernet. After selling Stagecoach, they shifted focus to their estate vineyard and boutique winery, emphasizing small-lot, handcrafted wines. Their portfolio includes Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Syrah, Tempranillo, and blends, reflecting both Bordeaux and Rhône influences. The winery estate today sits off the Silverado Trail in Napa Valley, with a Tuscan-style property at the foot of the Vaca Mountains.
This wine offers a captivating nose, with top notes of ripe blackberry and violet, followed by delicate hints of rose and a subtle undertone of California bay leaf. On the palate, the wine is lush and elegant, with a smooth and lasting finish. The entrance is vibrant, featuring cherry and blackberry flavors, which transition into a rich mid-palate of cocoa. The finish lingers gracefully with notes of currant. Pair with pepper-crusted salmon and mushroom risotto or seared veal chop with a thyme and bay leaf pan sauce. Drink now through 2035.
