Krupp Brothers, Jan and Bart, began with the bold creation of Stagecoach Vineyard. The Stagecoach Vineyard put the Krupp Brothers on the map, supplying fruit to dozens of Napa wineries and building their reputation for bold, mountain-grown Cabernet. After selling Stagecoach, they shifted focus to their estate vineyard and boutique winery, emphasizing small-lot, handcrafted wines. Their portfolio includes Cabernet Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Syrah, Tempranillo, and blends, reflecting both Bordeaux and Rhône influences. The winery estate today sits off the Silverado Trail in Napa Valley, with a Tuscan-style property at the foot of the Vaca Mountains.
This wine opens with aromas of blueberry, chocolate and a touch of cardamom, all culminating in delicate violet scents. On the palate, The Water Witch greets with a bright entry transitioning to a medium body supported by elegant tannins. An initial burst of blueberry leads to a chocolatey mid-palate, concluding with a hint of black pepper on the finish. Pair with lasagna, or roasted garlic and caper branzino with roasted potatoes and cippolini onions. Drink now through 2037.
