This classically barrel fermented wine is produced from the Sunchase Vineyard, perched high above the fog at an elevation of between 900-1,400', where the Petaluma Wind Gap collides with Sonoma Mountain just over the Napa County border. The cool ocean breezes & moderate sunshine, paired with fractured rocky clay soil consistently produces distinguished Chardonnay.
This wine has a distinctive golden hue. It is full on aromatics of honey, caramel, toffee, and applesauce with vanilla. It has a voluptuously full palate, mature yet zippy. This wine promises to age nicely for at least a decade.

The 2017 Pellet Estate Chardonnay is impressive from start to finish. This wine excels with aromas and flavors of chalk, ripe fruit, and oak. Serve it with steamed and roasted Dungeness crab in a savory sauce. (Tasted: March 3, 2022, San Francisco, CA)

This has a wealth of grilled hazelnuts and vanilla nougat with ripe peaches in behind. The palate has a vibrant and smooth delivery of fresh-peach and waffle-cone flavors.
