For this special winery spotlight tasting we will be joined by Mele Sosa, Enologist and Wine Educator for Bodega Garzón in North America.
Bodega Garzón is one of the world’s finest wine estates - pioneers along the Uruguayan Atlantic coast. This landscape allows for temperate weather, finessed wines and organic vineyard practices in their rolling estate vineyards (525 feet elevation). Bodega Garzón’s wines are generally lively in style, not heavy or overripe, with freshness and acidity due to being just 10 miles from the Atlantic Ocean.
Featured Wines:
Mele earned her degree in viticulture and enology from Santiago’s Universidad Católica de Chile and began her career as assistant winemaker at Viña Santa Carolina. After relocating to the U.S., she continued her research at UC Davis and later joined the winemaking team at Spring Mountain Winery in Napa Valley. Today, she travels throughout the U.S. and Canada championing Tannat, Albariño, and the full Bodega Garzón portfolio through media outreach, trade education, distributor training, winemaker dinners, and consumer events.
Join us for this great opportunity to taste these awesome, highly rated wines along with Nico. After the seated tasting, enjoy wines by the glass or bottle.
