The Cuvelier family, owners of Clos Fourtest since 2001, do a remarkable job there, with the support of consultants Stéphane Derenoncourt and Jean-Claude Berrouet. The wines are classically made, with a fine and creamy grain of tannin at the same time. Their pure, fresh fruit is adorned with saline notes and floral undertones - Cabernet Sauvignon (10%) and Cabernet Franc (5%) complete the grape varieties alongside Merlot. Clos Fourtet is also the heir to a unique cultural heritage that it claims. This is evidenced by the three medals adorning its label, each corresponding to an award obtained, particularly during the universal exhibitions of the late 19th century.
Clos Fourtet produces a second wine, La Closerie de Fourtet.
Beautiful ruby color. Aromas of red fruit and delicate floral notes. Energenic and fine at the same time - mint-fresh finish. Pair with veal.
