Lamole di Lamole is a historic Chianti Classico estate perched high in the hills above Greve, in one of the region’s most distinctive and ancient vineyard zones. The terraced vineyards of Lamole, some dating back centuries, sit at elevations up to 600 meters, where poor sandstone soils and dramatic day–night temperature shifts produce Sangiovese of striking purity and aromatic lift.
Revitalized in the late 20th century, the estate has become known for its commitment to organic farming, meticulous vineyard restoration, and a style that emphasizes finesse over power—bright red fruit, floral tones, and a signature mountain freshness. Lamole di Lamole stands as one of Chianti Classico’s most evocative expressions of high‑altitude terroir.
Its deep ruby red color acts as a prelude to scents of wild red berry fruits and floral aromas of violets and broom, as well as balsamic hints and those of underbrush. Its development on the palate is harmonious yet incisive, more dynamic than muscular, and more mineral than tangy, with fine-grained tannins and lively freshness sustaining the tight, elegant fruit. The aromatic finish is deliciously persistent.
