Winery Spotlight: Gérard Bertrand highlights one of the most influential figures in modern French wine—a producer who has helped redefine the potential of the Languedoc through a combination of heritage, scale, and a deep commitment to biodynamic farming.
A former rugby player turned winemaker, Gérard Bertrand has built a portfolio of estates across Southern France, many of them certified biodynamic, with a focus on expressing the diversity of the region’s terroirs. From the limestone slopes of Limoux to the rugged hills of Corbières, his wines reflect both tradition and a forward-looking approach to viticulture.
Guiding the evening is Brand Ambassador Srdan Kulenovic, who will lead us through the range and provide insight into Bertrand’s philosophy, his growing family legacy, and how these wines have helped elevate the global perception of the Languedoc.
We’ll explore:
- Crémant de Limoux
Traditional method sparkling wines from one of France’s earliest sparkling regions, offering freshness, structure, and fine bubbles.
- Estate Rosés
Bright, expressive wines that balance Mediterranean fruit with freshness and precision.
- Corbières and other Southern French Reds
Blends rooted in Grenache, Syrah, and Carignan, showing the depth, spice, and rugged character of the region.
Join us for an evening that explores a modern vision of Southern France—where history, innovation, and place come together in the glass.
