The fruit for this wine comes from both our sustainably farmed vineyard in Rutherford, and from local vineyards. Each vineyard block was harvested and made into an individual lot representing that block.
Ripe blackberry fruit characters are complemented by cherry and cassis on the finish. Spice and vanilla notes are seamlessly interwoven through the wine. A rich midpalate leads to a lovely lingering finish with just the right of
acid and tannin to keep the wine in perfect balance. While enjoyable upon release, this wine will age gracefully through 2032 and beyond.
Composition: 92% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Malbec, 2% Petit Verdot, 1% Merlot, 0.5% Cabernet Franc, 0.5% Petit Sirah
91 James Suckling Attractive nose of blackberries, kirsch and hints of dried flowers and walnuts. Full and well-structured with ripe yet lightly chewy tannins and deep, succulent fruit underneath. Intense, bitter-spice finish. Try from 2027.
